Use these verified offices for the most common Atchison County requests:

- State criminal history: Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS Central Repository through MACHS. The official Record Check Processing Unit is 573-526-6153, option 3.
- Rock Port police reports: Police non-emergency 660-744-2778; City Hall, 500 S. Main St., 660-744-2636.
- Tarkio police reports: Police 660-736-5522 or tarkiopd@tarkio.net; City Hall, 602 Main St., 660-736-4821, weekdays 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Fairfax incidents: Fairfax City Hall, 201 E. Main St., 660-686-3520, can identify the responding agency.
The Circuit Clerk is the local custodian for all filed felony and misdemeanor cases. The sheriff is the verified counter and phone route for sheriff reports and county bookings. These are separate files, so a request for both the event narrative and custody record may need to go to two offices.
